May 12, 2023, marks National School Communicators Day, a day to recognize the crucial role that school communicators play in keeping communities informed about education and the important work being done in schools.

VICTORIA WEST HIGH SCHOOL IMPLEMENTS CHANGES TO MITIGATE MORNING TRAFFIC CONGESTION

On Monday, May 8, 2023, Victoria West High School implemented new traffic patterns for parents/guardians, student drivers, and bus transportation on campus to alleviate traffic congestion during drop-off times for the remainder of the school year.

Victoria ISD's Leadership Definition, Leading Toward Genius, is separated into three categories: Connecting, Growing, and Reaching. This month our focus is on celebrating Reaching for Genius. Reaching for Genius is comprised of four indicators; the third is Ignites Innovation.

Each campus selected one employee that embodies the "Ignites Innovation" indicator under Reaching.

On Monday, May 1, Victoria ISD hosted the Staff Excellence Awards where the staff was recognized for their achievements in the following categories: Campus Teacher of the Year, Campus Impact Award, and Campus Rising Star Award.
